The fertile abundance of our "super drum" large vessel boggles the mind. No Naive American potter ever hand built a vase with such paper thin walls or delicate balance and form.  And yet, these pieces have an almost indigenous quality about them. The Italians have broken new ground, created new heights for wheel thrown and hand-worked clay.
